Skin misbehaving? Sluggish? Oily in some places and dry in others? Oily all over?! Meru has got your back! Our best selling, award-winning, balancing organic face oil was developed to:
- Increase cell turnover and improve cellular function
- Balance sebum production
- Reduce the appearance of pores
- Prevent the signs of ageing and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Reduce inflammation from hormonal breakouts and support the natural healing processes of the skin tissue
- Maintain a healthy lipid barrier and balance the acid mantle of the skin
The lightweight organic cold pressed botanical oils of Sacha inchi, Prickly Pear, Safflower were chosen for their high alpha-linolenic and linoleic acid content beneficial for improving the structural integrity of the skin, ability to reduce breakouts, reduce inflammation, prevent the signs of aging, maintain moisture in the skin, improve elasticity and protect against UV damage.
We also added Jojoba, a plant-based wax made up of long chain linear esters resembling the structure of the skin’s natural oils known as sebum. Jojoba mixes well with sebum to break down congestion in the pores and act as a vessel to deliver nutrients deep into the skin. Jojoba balances the acid mantle of the skin and provides an occlusive layer that prevents transepidermal water loss to support hydration while allowing the skin to breathe.
The sacred flower of lotus is added to slow the signs of ageing, clarify, soothe, and calm blemish prone skin. Organic neroli flowers are added to stimulate the removal of old cells and encourages the growth of new healthy ones. Neroli improves the skin’s elasticity, reduces the appearance of scars, wrinkles, stretch marks and thread veins. It also tones the skin, reduces redness and can be soothing to problem skin.
Meru can be used both at day and night, you may require a slightly more generous amount during the winter months. The scent is heavenly and meditative, we advise taking a few seconds to inhale the scent and calm before gently massaging into the skin.
